Albert George Karamanos II
76, of Indianapolis, died May 21, 2015. Albert was born on October 7, 1938 in Indianapolis to the late Albert and Goldie (Benefiel) Karamanos. After graduating from Manual High School, he proudly served his country in the US Army during Vietnam. Following his service, he attended college for a shirt time studying TV and electronics repair. He then was a member of the Plasterer's Union and Painter's Union Local #47, rarely missing a day of work. He was also a member of the American Legion Post #64, Eagles Beech Grove #4167, VFW, and Moose Lodge #500. He enjoyed dancing and spending time with his family and friends! In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by his wife Joyce (Osborne) Karamanos, a son Albert "Sonny" Karamanos. He is survived by his children Kim (Curt) Witt, Kevin (Melissa) Karamanos, Kelly (Stan) Gott, 8 grandchildren and 10 great grandchildren. Visitation will be held Tuesday from 4-8pm and Wednesday from 9-11am at Flanner and Buchanan- Floral Park, 425 N. Holt Rd. with funeral services Wednesday at 11am in the funeral center. Burial will follow the services in Floral Park Cemetery. A lifelong supporter of various causes, memorial contributions may be made in Albert's memory to American Legion Post #64.
