January 25, 1953 — March 13, 2015

Alan Joseph Reed, Sr., 62, died unexpected and suddenly in the blink of an eye, of a massive heart attack March 13, 2015. Alan was born January 25, 1953 in Lafayette, IN to Raymond and Maria Reed. He was raised in Oxford, IN and graduated from Benton Central High School where he was on the football and swim team. He graduated from Purdue University and was a member of the Delta Tau Delta Fraternity. A great sports fan, he attended all Purdue football games and rooted for the basketball team. During his business years he was a Manufacturer's Representative for several companies. In 1995 he married his beloved wife, Diana Smith, a classmate from Benton Central High School.
