Alan B. Pine

Indianapolis, Indiana - Alan Bruce Pine, 63, passed away unexpectedly on May 12, 2024. Alan was born on June 2, 1960, in Beech Grove, Indiana, to parents Ira and Esther (Schuck) Pine.

Alan was raised on a farm in Shelby County, Indiana, and graduated from Triton Central High School in 1979. He was baptized at Fountain Square Church of Christ on September 19, 1982.

Always wanting to learn new skills, he took classes in various vocations. Subsequently, he worked in a variety of roles throughout his life, including HVAC technician, long-haul truck driver—and even a stint working at Disney World. Additionally, he completed training as an aircraft mechanic.

Alan was a bit of a loner and a rambler. He moved often, but he still stayed in contact with his family and friends. He enjoyed finding and buying new “treasures”—odd items for which he had no need, but that he found interesting and just wanted to own. Whether it be telling about a new treasure, letting you know what he's been up to, or reminiscing, he would go into great detail and keep talking for hours if you'd let him.

In addition to his parents, Alan is preceded in death by his older brother, Thomas Pine.

He is survived by his brother and sister-in-law, Stephen and Carole Pine, sister-in-law Patricia Pine, a nephew, and three nieces.

A graveside service will be held at 10:00 AM on Thursday, May 23, at Washington Park East Cemetery.
