Aislynn Ball, age 24, of Fishers, Indiana, passed away peacefully on December 9, 2025, surrounded by her loving parents and siblings, after a prolonged and courageous battle with a rare disease. She was a joyful, kind, and compassionate young woman whose life was a profound gift to all who knew her.
Born on January 5, 2001, to Steve and Ashleigh Ball, Aislynn was a shining light in the lives of her family and friends. Deeply rooted in her Catholic faith, she lived with a heart full of love, generosity, and grace, cherishing her family and friends with her whole heart.
Aislynn found her greatest joy in being with those she loved. She especially treasured time spent with her family and delighted in being with her little cousins. Before illness took away her physical abilities, Aislynn embraced life with enthusiasm and joy. She loved reading, riding her bike, running cross country, photography, gardening, baking, making rosaries, and watching movies. Family game nights playing UNO were a favorite, as were adventurous days riding roller coasters with her dad at Cedar Point.
Throughout her eleven years of care at Riley Children’s Hospital, Aislynn witnessed firsthand the battles faced by other children. Moved by compassion and a desire to bring comfort and joy to others, she turned her own suffering into an act of service. While in high school, Aislynn founded Aislynn’s Angels, creating cozy blankets and coloring book gift bags for fellow patients, offering them warmth, encouragement, and a reminder that they were not alone.
Aislynn had a deep love for learning and being at school. Despite the challenges of her progressive disease, she fought bravely to attend school every day she could, demonstrating remarkable perseverance and strength. Her determination was rewarded when she proudly graduated from Fishers High School in 2019, an accomplishment that reflected her unwavering spirit.
Aislynn was preceded in death by her infant sister, Brenna Elizabeth Ball, and her grandfather, Warren Dorset McCoy.
She is survived by her loving parents, Steve and Ashleigh Ball of Fishers, Indiana; her brothers, Eli Ball and Braeden Ball; and her grandparents, Lt. Col. (Ret.) Gerald and Michal Hunt of Fishers, Indiana, Kevin and Beverly Diffenbaugh of Stockbridge, Michigan, and Donald J. and Sally Ball of Coldwater, Michigan. She is also survived by her aunts and uncles, Zane and Megan Gamble of McCordsville, Indiana, Pete and Lauren Amundson of Fishers, Indiana, Jason and Marie Diffenbaugh of Stockbridge, Michigan, and Brian and Kathy Diffenbaugh of Stockbridge, Michigan, as well as her cherished cousins, whom she loved so very much.
The family wishes to express their heartfelt gratitude to Aislynn’s oncologists, her palliative care “Angels,” and the extraordinary nurses at Riley Children’s Hospital. For eleven years, their compassion, dedication, and gentle presence provided comfort, dignity, and unwavering care to Aislynn and her family.
Though her life was far too short, Aislynn’s faith, courage, and boundless love left an enduring mark on the hearts of all who knew her. She will be remembered for her radiant smile, gentle soul, and the light she brought into the world.
Aislynn will be forever loved, deeply missed, and joyfully remembered as she rests in the peace of Christ.
A Visitation will be held on Friday, December 19, from 10am to 12pm, with a Funeral Mass at 12pm, at Our Lady of Mount Carmel Catholic Church, 14598 Oak Ridge Rd, Carmel, IN 46032. Aislynn’s final resting place will be Oaklawn Memorial Gardens Cemetery in Indianapolis.
