Adam Christopher Taylor

October 13, 1984 — March 18, 2026

Indianapolis, Indiana

Adam Christopher Taylor, 41, of Indianapolis passed away on March 18, 2026. He was born prematurely on October 13, 1984, at 2 pounds and 15 ounces, in Mission Viejo, CA to James Richard Taylor and Teri Lynn Cook. He was the smallest pumpkin in the pumpkin patch!

Adam was a 2003 graduate of Carmel High School where he built a large circle of invaluable friendships, was given the infamous nickname of “Big Pun,” and experienced a season of life that brought so much fun, laughter, and an endless number of great stories to tell. He grew up with a huge appreciation for music and deep love of hip hop music which eventually evolved into a deeper love of Christian hip hop. Music was life to him – that, and a pair of Jordan sneakers and a fitted hat, backwards of course! He was an avid sports fan, especially the Raiders (even after they moved to Las Vegas). He also loved his Cubbies and Dodgers. Most importantly, Adam had a strong, unwavering faith, even amid trials and struggle. It was his passion in life to spread the love and hope of Jesus. Adam lived his life trusting God and whatever plan He had for him, while confidently and consistently reminding people of God’s good grace. He was a member of Northview Church, and a previous member of Grace Church. Adam was a loving and devoted son, brother, cousin, nephew, uncle, grandson and friend whose great and peaceful presence, along with a sense of humor that is unmatched, will be tremendously missed.

He is survived by his mother, Teri (Bill) Cook; sisters, Ashley Taylor, Alyssa (Brandon) Pettiford, Lindsey (Rick) Posey; nephew, Holden Posey; step-mother, Lara Taylor; step-sister, Melissa (Kaiser) Ahmed; nephew, Henry Ahmed and niece, Norah Ahmed; step-brother, Parker Boffing; and a large extended family of aunts, uncles, and cousins. He was preceded in passing by his father, Rick Taylor; paternal grandparents, Clarence and Marilyn Taylor; and maternal grandparents, James and Joyce Cook.

A memorial service will be at 12:30 p.m. on Friday, March 27th at Northview Church – 12900 Hazel Dell Parkway, Carmel, IN 46033. Family will receive friends for visitation from 11 a.m. until 12 p.m. prior to the service. Any memorial contributions may be directed to the American Heart Association.
