A. Dale Zachary

A. Dale Zachary 70, Indianapolis, Indiana passed away January 13, 2015. Dale was born on April 16, 1944 in Crawfordsville, Indiana, the son of Eston and Mildred (Austin) Zachary. Dale served in the Indiana National Guard and was a member of MINI CAR CLUB of Indiana and was a graduate of Indiana College of Mortuary Science. Dale served with the Indiana State Police and retired in 1997 as a Captain with 30 years of service, he then worked with MAGLOCLEN, Department of Justice from 1998 till 2010, retiring as a Deputy Director. Survivors: wife of 48 years, Susan (Propst) Zachary; children, Annette Jared, David (Pam) Zachary and Daniel (Julie) Zachary; 4 grandsons; 3 great-grandsons and a sister, Anna Miller. He was preceded in death by his parents and a brother. Visitation will be from 4:00 to 8:00 p.m. Friday, January 16, 2015 at Flanner and Buchanan – Decatur 5463 Kentucky Ave. Indianapolis. A Celebration of Life Service will be at 11:00 a.m. Saturday, January 17, 2015 at Flanner and Buchanan. Burial, West Newton Cemetery.
