Martha A Holmes

Beloved mother, grandmother, and great grandmother, Martha A. Holmes, 95 of Arlington Heights, IL passed away at her daughter’s home in Westfield, IN on Monday, March 15, 2021.  Martha was born in Bradford, PA to the late Richard and Missouri (Zura) Angloch.  She was a graduate of Grove City College in Pennsylvania. After college, she moved many times with her husband and children based on her husband’s work with American Standard. She was wonderful at making new friends and getting her family settled in each city.

Martha had an extensive career in retail sales.  Her most recent position was with Crate and Barrel in Chicago.

Martha was a member of The Quester’s Club, the Palatine Garden Club, the Historical Society of Palatine and The Presbyterian Church of Palatine.

Memorial services will be private.

Martha was the widow of Robert Grey Holmes.  She is survived by her daughters, Jennifer Holmes Colver, Barbara Holmes Gobel (husband, Greg) and Nancy Holmes Benjamin (husband, David); grandchildren, Christopher Colver, Michelle Shaw (husband Colin), Brad Colver (wife Kristin), Megan Gobel Adams (husband John), Kathryn Buchler (husband Lucas), Morgan Micelli (husband Mike), Brooke Benjamin; great grandchildren, Madeline Colver, Luke Colver, Owen Shaw, Charlotte Buchler, and Evie Buchler. She was looking forward to the birth of three great grandsons this spring.
