Katherine B Likens

Katherine B. Likens, 89, of Indianapolis passed away on January 28, 2022. Katherine was born Katherine Bell Summers on February 29, 1932 to the late Thomas and Mae Summers in Westmoreland, Tennessee. Katherine was a dedicated inspector for Rand McNally until her retirement in 1992. She enjoyed traveling in their families’ motorhome. Katherine was a devoted and loving wife, mother, grandmother, and friend. She will certainly be missed by all the lives she has touched.

Katherine is survived by her loving children, Sandy Stroud (Tom), Rhonda Skaggs, Tony Likens, Carol Applegate (Jeff); son in law Marion Hammond; 10 grandchildren and 12 great grandchildren

She is preceded in death by her husband, James D. Likens; her daughter, Judy Hammond; her parents; and son in law, Jerry Skaggs.

We would like to thank Elaine Williams and Kathy Willoughbly for their loving care to our mother.

A visitation will be held on Wednesday, February 9, 2022, from 11AM-1PM, with the funeral service beginning at 1PM—all at Flanner Buchanan—Washington Park East, 10722 E Washington Street.
