Elna Christine Keyt

Elna Christine Keyt, 87, of Indianapolis, passed away on Wednesday, September 13, 2017.

She was born on June 17, 1930 in Indianapolis to the late Niels William and Maria K. Jensen. Elna was a 1948 graduate of Warren Central High School and married Fred H. Keyt on June 17, 1951. She was a member of the Delta Sigma Kappa Sorority – Lambda Chapter. Elna also enjoyed her membership in OASIS and the Good Time Singers. She was active in her church, First Trinity Lutheran, before transferring her membership to Cross of Grace Lutheran Church, where she has been attending for the last 12 years. Elna was a co-owner of The Niche in Indianapolis, a cross-stich shop she owned with her sister-in-law, Noreen Jo Jensen.

She is survived by her sister, Ruth Marie Jensen; and several nieces and nephews. Elna was preceded in death by her parents; loving husband; brothers, John William Jensen and Carl Alfred Jensen.

Visitation will be held on Monday, September 18, 2017 from 3-7pm at Flanner and Buchanan – Washington Park East. Funeral services will take place the following morning at 11am at Cross of Grace Lutheran Church: 3519 S 600 W, New Palestine, IN 46163. Additional visitation will be held at the church on Tuesday from 9am until the time of service. Burial will follow in Washington Park East Cemetery.

Memorial Contributions may be given the Alzheimer’s Association or to the Cross of Grace Lutheran Church. The family wishes to extend their deepest appreciation to the staff of Wildwood Healthcare and Premier Hospice for the dedicated care shown to Elna.
