Bicycle helmet program helps keep children safe.

Flanner and Buchanan's Becky Borel is greeted by Indianapolis Mayor Greg Ballard at Black Expo 2008. The Mayor stopped by to place the 30,000th bicycle helmet on a child. Borel is a family service advisor at Washington Park North Cemetery and Funeral Center.
Flanner and Buchanan once again provided free children's bicycle helmets at the 2008 McMircle event. McMiracle is an effort started by Reginald and Tracey Jones of Indianapolis to promote "excellence through character" to children in the inner city. Bicycles are given to children that achieve in school, have financial challenges, show superior citizenship, or have a terminal illness. The event is in its tenth year.
